  • Students with appropriate documentation are exempt from copyright laws
    • Institutions are made responsible for verification and authorization
    • DAISY with Dolphinn EasyReader
      • DAISY = TXT + MP3 + SML
      • This results in the synchronization of text books
      • Norfolk St. University Course Study (70 studnets, 1 with visual impairment)
        • DAISY copy of text made available, primarily to student with VI, but all students had access.
        • ALL students downloaded DAISY book and ALL students passed course.
        • RFBD’s DAISY software keys are free for students with qualified disability
        • Key Benefit of DTB
          • Searchable Text
          • Can input JPG, GIF, TIF, KES
            • Turns into Word document
            • Can output as Braille
            • Dolphin EasyReader File (.dec) is a compressed version of Word.
            • Dolphin does not care whether it is an image or text PDF, built in OCR resolves this.
            • Many languages are available in Dolphin EasyReader
